Weed.
It’s one of the best things that nature has given humanity. In my humble opinion I think there is a connection between the use of weed and the evolution of man. Picture us as monkey-like beings thousands of years ago, scavenging for food and drink and one day we stumbleupon (no pun intended) a plant that makes reality change. In this new state we think and do things we have never done before. Through the generations this and other natural occurrences contribute to the growth of the Neanderthal brain. Making us more intelligent and able to look at the world around us in a new light. Objects become tools, feelings become emotion, and the modern human is born.
My name is Adrian Eden and I have used weed to my advantage and
disadvantage over the past 4 years. My strain of choice was purple kush (I say was because I do not smoke weed anymore, I will touch on that later) and I smoked it daily. Some people are lazy stoners, myself I’m a motivated stoner who likes to go into public high and interact with society as it adds a level of fun to simple things like discussion. Weed and the recreational use of it should be no ones choice but your own. I’m strongly in support of the use of weed for whomever chooses to do so. It’s not like booze in the sense that it will make you aggressive and sloppy, it simply ‘tingles’ your mind with its numbing properties.
Being that I work from home and am on the computer regularly it was easy for me to work high and have a bong sitting beside my desk. I thought it made me more creative in fact, though others who I work with rarely thought the same. I decided to quit smoking weed because my obligations as a man providing for my girlfriend and soon to come family have taken priority. I do not want to smoke around my children or be in a situation where I cannot care for them always. This is one of the reasons that I decided to stop smoking it altogether.
Not many people use to know this but at one time I sold weed to my friends for extra grocery money. This brought around some rather unsavory people, who will never be around my family. I think for the most part stoners are kind people, but you do get the odd sour apple in the bunch that leaves a bad taste in your mouth and makes you think ‘why do I sell weed?’ Obviously for the money. Whether you want to admit it or not weed is the number one industry in BC, massively trumping logging and tourism due to no tax and the sheer size of the population that smokes.
Smoking weed can be fun and it definitely made me have sex for hours on end at times, but at this point in my life I choose not to use it, though I wholeheartedly support anyone else who chooses to use it. It came from the earth, and anything that comes from the earth and was here before any civilizations were formed is fare game for all to use at any time. So, my friends, I say smoke on and pass it to the left, for you only live once and experience is the zest of life.
